Suzanne McCormick

U.S. President
United Way Worldwide

 

Suzanne McCormick was named U.S. President of United Way Worldwide (UWW) in June 2019. She is responsible for helping the 1,100 local United Ways across the U.S. trailblaze in the philanthropic space to build more resilient, inclusive and sustainable communities. That includes leading in equity, tackling community problems with innovative and systemic solutions, and driving the ongoing digital transformation.

McCormick came to United Way Worldwide from Tampa, Florida, where she spent  five years as President and Chief Executive Officer for United Way Suncoast, one of Florida’s largest United Ways. In that time, she cultivated growth, increased community impact and led a strategic plan to break the cycle of generational poverty. Having previously served as the chair of the United Way Network Partnership Group and National Professional Council, McCormick will continue to enable the teams to develop and leverage powerful philanthropy initiatives, such as Salesforce Philanthropy Cloud. She brings invaluable insights as immediate past chair of the United Ways of Florida that will lend to the ongoing collaboration with United Way State Associations.

McCormick began her nonprofit leadership career at the International Center of New York and then as CEO for both the American Red Cross of Southern Maine and People’s Regional Opportunity. She joined the United Way of Greater Portland in Maine, where she provided 13 years of leadership, including four as president and CEO.

McCormick holds a B.A. in Political Science from Duke University and is an alumna of the Peace Corps, where she taught English in Thailand. She is the proud mother of two children: Jack, who serves in the U.S. Army, and Fiona. Her husband of 25 years, Bill, is a physical therapist. McCormick enjoys running, being a “soccer mom” and spending time with her family and two Boston terriers, Finnegan and Olive.

Katrina Cravy

Motivational Speaker Media Coach | Author

Katrina Cravy is an Emmy Award-Winning TV media veteran and author who wore headgear to high school. Her fun-loving but get the job done style has made her one of the most trusted and well-known names in Southeastern Wisconsin, although her career has taken her across the country. Katrina has worked as an investigative reporter, anchor, and talk show host, for FOX, NBC, and ABC affiliates from Parkersburg, West Virginia to Portland, Oregon.

With more than 20 years of media experience, Katrina is now a member of the National Speakers Association. She’s on a personal mission to help teams and executives be their best on camera and communicate with confidence during the good times and the bad.

Her book, “On-Air – Insider Secrets to Attract the Media and Get Free Publicity” promises to make you think like the media. Katrina is also an adjunct facility member for the University of Wisconsin’s School for Professional and Executive Development teaching crisis communication skills. Companies like Aflac, GE Healthcare, A.O. Smith, MGIC, and Salvation Army have booked Katrina as a keynote speaker and trainer to boost their teams’ performance. Besides winning a regional Emmy, she has also received awards from the National Press Club, Associated Press, Wisconsin Broadcasters Association, and Milwaukee Press Club.This California native graduated from the University of Southern California with a double major in broadcast journalism and political science. She was chosen as an intern for the Office of Ronald Reagan in 1991 and received USC’s “Outstanding Broadcast Journalism Senior” award in 1992.

Katrina Cravy loves speaking to audiences from around the country, almost as much as she loves her husband, their son, and their two cats.

DJ Pryor

Stand- up Comedian | Actor | Writer | Musician

 

The Petersburg, VA native traveled the country credited to his father’s military service as a child landing him in Clarksville, TN in early elementary. This is when Pryor’s natural passion to make people laugh became evident to any and everyone he met. Pulling from his many personal life experiences, his comedic prowess comes from a combination of growing up as the oldest of 14 children, being raised by a teenage mother and many other relatable stories, proves that he was born to entertain.  As a preteen into his late teenage years he was a traveling drummer with gospel group, Xample, during this time his love for stand-up comedy outweighed his percussionist passion. One night while he was 15 he snuck into a local comedy club that solidified his pursuit towards comedy as a full-time career. His highly animated and outrageously energetic routine enhances his funny and are reminiscent of comedy greats including Eddie Murphy, Chris Tucker and Richard Pryor. The entertainer, husband, and father of two is building a legacy and caliber of stage presence for generations to come to top. From acting, directing, and performing at popular venues including as a featured comic at Zanies in Nashville, TN, Los Angeles’s infamous Laugh Factory and the Comedy Store, to launching his latest digital endeavor, Laughter is Universal, there is no stopping DJ Pryor.
